On the occasion that I have unspoken for knives that I am able to offer for sale you will find them on my Instagram feed and Facebook page, it is much easier to be reactive there and it gives you, the customer, the opportunity to ask questions about the offerings.
There are links to all my social accounts below, please follow in order to keep a lookout.
The Portland90 was directly targeted at our smaller to mid sized deer species, that said, it is no one trick pony, I have many clients who use 90s on all species, it's 90mm blade makes it nimble, almost scalpel-like, it has undergone rigorous field testing and has proved supremely fit for many a purpose.
The 3mm stock SF100 blade steel has full width grinds with a micro secondary bevel taking it to final edge, there is a modern and very hard wearing stonewashed finish to the steel.
Black/black SureTouch™ handle scales, SureTouch™ is a revolutionary new patent-pending product that combines G10 layers with rubber making it possible to have the toughness and durability of G-10 with the grip and anti-slip properties of rubber combined.
Stainless steel Corby-type bolts and adhesive secure all together.
Hand-made, superb quality leather sheath in a rich, deep brown 'tobacco' colour, slender in design and deep fitting, fully welted, beautifully burnished edges, the whole thing is truly a work of art in its own right.
This knife is now sold.

If you know anything of my work you will know that quite a few of my projects utilise a hefty 8mm stock steel, Harry Brearley, my Centenary Steak, SKALPEL, all are such, the actual steel was commissioned by me in 2013, the centenary of the discovery of stainless steel, I needed it in order to create that very Harry Brearley knife and it was made in August of that year, exactly 100 years, to the month, after Brearley discovered stainless steel here in Sheffield, it is a steel with story, steel with provenance, it is SF100.
Having the availability and working with such a thickness is a great bonus, it can be a challenge though, initially of course there is the cutting of it, even with a small quantity of blanks to cut, you don't just take a hacksaw to it.
For this I rely upon the services of a mate of mine, and fellow Sheffielder, he has a laser, a big one.
The slight niggle here is that I don't get the opportunity to utilise the laser too often, you do need to be cutting a fair quantity of blanks to make it cost effective, as a result for most of what I make the blanks are indeed cut by hand, but when I do use the laser, once the blanks cut for any project, I always take back the 'scrap', the skeleton of steel.
For years I have been building a small collection of these things in the workshop, in varying sizes, and of course varying blanks cut from within, they are extremely cool and the interest they create among visitors to the workshop is quite phenomenal, literally everyone commenting that I should do something with them, offer them for sale, so I am going to do so.
The one you see here is indeed the 8mm stock SF100 and sized at 1085x345mm, the blanks cut from within it go on to become 6" bladed general purpose kitchen knives, the slots you see in the steel is how many knives there will be, ever.
The skeleton has been zinc plated, to give it a bright, corrosion free (even if displayed outdoors), industrial look and feel and drilled in each corner to allow wall fixing, there are photos showing the zinc finish against the raw steel of an untreated skeleton.
This particular section is priced, at a collected from the Sheffield workshop, with a tour and cuppa included, £275.
I am sure a courier could be organised if collection was problematic, and I would be happy to look into that, as you can imagine it is no lightweight.
This really is the Christmas present for the person who does have everything, they don't have one of these.
This particular one is now sold but please enquire, I have more.
