The big picture of the project as a whole is to develop a 'go to' range of handmade knives that cover most usages for outdoors folk, foragers, hunters, fishers and even kitchen, making them of the best quality and from the finest materials but still make them as affordable as possible.
Years ago, along with my parents, we made a range of knives that fitted that very bill, we called them the Portland Series, named after Portland Works, the historic works where they were made and where I am still based, the first two models of the reborn Portland Series are the Portland90 and Portland120.
Both the P90 and P120 are directly targeted at the worldwide deer stalking market, the 90mm blade of the smaller knife rendering it perfect for the smaller to mid-sized species, the 120mm blade of its larger sibling covers mid to large, both knives sleek and slender, almost scalpel like, they have both undergone rigorous field testing and have proved supremely fit for purpose.
The Portland Series will be offered in the definitive steel specification of 3mm stock Sheffield made SF100 blade steel, that steel on the initial models was married to Hunter Orange G10 handle scales.
Photos to follow but in the meantime there are plenty on my socials, links to which are below.
I am producing a small limited edition run of my Portland90 in Absolute Zero blue G10, please feel free to drop me a line to discuss or there are more details on my AVAILABLE page.
